Meet the Artist – Austin L. Brooks
When did you start drawing?
Starting drawing around age 6 inspired by classic cartoons & comic books. I was obsessed with the cool action, colors & iconic characters.
What are your favorite things to draw?
Retro or then-modern comic books & cartoons like GI Joe, Ghostbusters, Star Wars, He-Man, Thundercats, TMNT & much more.
Who are some of your artistic inspirations?
A few top figures of inspiration for me starting out were creative legends like Kevin Smith, Kevin Eastman, Dan Akroyd & Harold Ramis. My huge drawing inspiration came from Joe Kubert, Todd McFarlane, & Stan Lee.
Any projects you’re looking forward to working on?
Currently working on concepts design projects like Logo design, advertisements & more…possibly more comic book art down the road!
