Meet the Artist – Scott McClung
When did you start drawing?
When I was very young, earlier than I can really remember.
What are your favorite things to draw?
Super heroes and cartoon characters. They are the things I grew up enjoying.
Who are some of your artistic inspirations?
Dr. Seuss is a big influence for my cartoon work; he is who I tried to draw like before I got more interested in drawing superheroes. Gene Colan, Neil Adams, George Perez, John Byrne, and Alan Davis are some of the comic book artists I wished I could draw like growing up ( and still wish) .
Any projects you’re working on or looking forward to working on?
I have a few half-baked idea floating around in my head. Maybe one of them will turn into something at some point. Right now I’m working on continuing Zooklahoma for Okie Comics.
