Meet the Artist – Zack Rose
When did you start drawing?

I’ve always been drawing – there’s doodles of odd, lopsided fishes and dolphins from when I was four tucked away someplace at my mom’s. I’ve always wanted to make it a career, but only in the past couple of years have I started to get into comics.
What are your favorite things to draw?
Monsters or anything big and toothy. Dinosaurs were my first love and my style has just gotten bigger and stranger since then.
Who are some of your artistic inspirations?
Junji Ito is probably my biggest and most obvious influence – his linework is fantastic, and his particular flavor of horror is hard to beat. I also really like James Gurney, EK Weaver, and Blue Delliquanti.

Any projects you’re working on?
Right now I’m doing research and scripting for a graphic novel about two friends taking a road trip during the climate apocalypse. Other than that, I’m either scripting shorts or doing commissions.
What’s a good way for fans to check out your work?
