Meet the Writer – Tyler Tarlton

How long have you been writing?

I have come up with story ideas all my life but started really writing about 11 years ago with a variety of church skits and dramas. I then moved to screenplays about 7 years ago and haven’t stopped writing since.

What’s one of your favorite drawing memories?

Screenplays are my favorite things to write, especially movies. I also like to write comics and novels.

Who are some of your artistic inspirations?

My mom is the biggest; she always wanted to write and didn’t get a lot of chances to do so. I’ve also been inspired by the books of John Erickson (Hank the Cowdog), Clive Cussler, Jeffery Deaver, and the comics of Jonathan Hickman and Brian K Vaughn (Y is my favorite!).

Any projects you’re working on or looking forward to working on?

I’m currently in the scripting process of a comic series called My Dad the Robot. I’m also looking forward to getting started on the 4^th book in my middle grade novel series called The Disaster Dogs.
